Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden Alpine plants admired all over the world! The best time to see the unexplored flower “Blue poppies of the Himalayas”

At Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden operated by Mount Mt. ROKKO CABLE CAR & TOURISM COMPANY (Headquarters: Kobe City, President: Kimihiko Teranishi), the "Blue Himalayan Poppy", a flower that looks like a clear blue sky, is in full bloom.

"Meconopsis betnikifolia" and "Meconopsis grandis", which are related to blue poppies called "Himalaya blue poppy" and "blue poppy", are blooming one after another. It is an alpine plant that grows naturally in the alpine zone of the Himalayas in China. It is sensitive to heat and difficult to cultivate if the sun rises above 25 degrees Celsius, so it is kept in a cold room in the summer. This is the only facility in western Japan where you can enjoy outdoor viewing. The garden has succeeded in flowering from seeds since 2019, and about 100 strains are on display this year.
