Mt. ROKKO CABLE CAR & TOURISM COMPANY (Headquarters: Kobe City, President: Kimihiko Teranishi) operates the Rokko Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden on Mt. Rokko.
In our garden, it is a representative of the blue poppy called "Himalaya blue poppy" or "blue poppy".
I grow 'Meconopsis betonikifolia'. Because it grows naturally in high mountains, it is sensitive to heat and difficult to cultivate in the Kansai region. This botanical garden is the only facility in western Japan where you can enjoy the blue poppies of the Himalayas outdoors.
