Daiaki Murayama / Tomoaki MURAYAMA
Born and resident in Kyoto Prefecture in 1989
2014 Graduated from Sozosha Design College Illustration Major
Growing up in a mountain village since childhood, he became interested in nature and started farming after graduating from an agricultural school.
After graduating from a design vocational school, he started working as a painter in Osaka, and moved to a mountain village in Kyoto in 2020 to set up an atelier.
Under the theme of "nature" and "harmony / fellowship", a group of animals and plants is drawn with a monochrome pen. In addition, he has produced a pen-style three-dimensional model "3-Draw series" and is developing an installation that combines three-dimensional objects and two-dimensional objects.
Observing motifs in the environment around the atelier and in farm work, and the enormous amount of time for detailed depiction, are important acts for dialogue and fellowship with nature.
His main activities include exhibiting solo exhibitions and events mainly in Kansai and Tokyo, as well as creating mural paintings and decorating spaces such as displays at the request of companies.
