Rokkosan Country House, which opened 83 years ago, will be transformed into one of Japan's largest Obstacle facilities in spring 2021!
Mt. ROKKO CABLE CAR & TOURISM COMPANY (Head office: Kobe City, President: Miyanishi Koji, 100% owned HANSHIN ELECTRIC RAILWAY CO.,LTD.) aims to incorporate Rokkosan Field Athletic into Rokko Mountain Country House to create a single facility, opening as a new Obstacle facility in spring 2021.
Rokkosan Country House first opened on June 30, 1937 as a facility with a bungalow-style building, nine holes of golf course, two tennis courts, a fishing pond, and other facilities for the recreation of mountain guests. Since then, it has operated for 83 years as a playground where visitors can enjoy outdoor sports, barbecues, playground equipment, and seasonal plants in the natural surroundings of Mt. Rokko. In 2019, a new Obstacle, "Forest Adventure Kobe Mt. Rokko," was opened, offering experiences at heights of 2 to 15 meters above the trees, and has been used by many guests. In addition, the adjacent Rokkosan Field Athletic has been operating since its opening in 1978, featuring 40 wooden Obstacle points that make use of nature.
The plan is based on the theme of "Mountains, sky, waterside. An adventure kingdom where everything is a stage," and will create a total of 80 new Obstacle on land and water, transforming the facility into one of the largest in Obstacle. In addition, by providing a wide variety of athletic Obstacle such as zip slides, we aim to create a facility that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from small children to adults, regardless of their physical strength or age, so that they can visit again and again.
