Mars Baccata Himalayan Fruit

The fruit of Mars Baccata Himalaika is colored bright red.
It is a Himalayan malus sieboldii, which is also a member of the Japanese malus sieboldii.
Malus sieboldii is a family of wild apples and is also called a koringo because it bears small red fruits in the fall.
The Himalayan Malus sieboldii in our garden received seeds from Dr. Sasuke Nakao of the Tohoku Nepal Expedition in 1958 and was raised from the seeds.
