Night-only art works and colored leaves illuminate Mt. Rokko at night

The Night Museum-Night art walk-

"The Night Museum-Night Art Walk-", where art works are exhibited at night and the autumn leaves are lit up according to the time of autumn leaves. This is a limited-time exhibition that you can enjoy only at night. When you step into the venue, you will surely be thrilled with the fantastic sight that can only be found there.

At the Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden and Rokko Morinone Museum, two representative works by Kota Takahashi, "Glow with Night Garden Project in Rokko Lantern Procession Landscape" and "Hikari no Mi in SIKI Garden" are exhibited. Please enjoy the fantastic scenery unique to this time of year with the illumination of the autumn leaves.

Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden

Kota Takahashi ≪Glow with Night Garden Project in Rokko Lantern Procession Landscape≫

Viewers move around the venue with LED lanterns that control colors wirelessly. The color of the lanterns changes in response to the color of the light that illuminates the landscape, allowing it to become part of the work. The production of music and light are synchronized, creating a fantastic space.

At Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden, various kinds of trees are expected to turn red from mid-October to mid-November (best time to see: late October to early November). The beautifully colored trees are lit up and the art works scattered throughout the park create a fantastic atmosphere.

Rokko Morinone Museum

Tadashi TakahashiTa ≪Hikari no Mi in SIKI Garden≫

"Hikari no Mi" is made by putting a small LED light in a fruit bag with a smile on it and inflating it. Approximately 3,000 Hikari fruits are attached to trees and decorated to create a healing landscape between the trees and on the shores of the pond. One of the highlights is a new initiative to play music created by musician mica bando in the area.

mica bando (musician)

Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Piano and Berklee University of Music, Department of Synthesizer, Vocal Major. Produced, composed and performed concerts at Performing Arts SLOW MOVEMENT, Yokohama Paratriennale 2017, Yumehanahiro Yamaguchi Night Program, Chihiro Art Museum, etc. 2017 Original album "Anonymoth" announced. After working for Kota Takahashi's work "Yume no Tane" and Rokko Meet Tourt the Night Museum, he has been producing music for the Echigo-Tsumari Daichi art program "Hikari no Hanahata -Gift for Frozen Village-" since 2019. In 2021, he was also in charge of the music for the project Snow Fireworks.


Workshops will be held at the exhibition hall and online before and during the session

Born and resident in Kyoto Prefecture in 1970
1995 Completed the Department of Sculpture, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts

He is active in a wide range of domestic and international activities such as public projection with light and images, installations, and performance performances. Lighting projects for buildings such as the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto, the 100th anniversary of Tokyo Station, and the Towada Art Center create dynamic and sculptural works of light. He is also involved in many large-scale participatory art projects such as "Dream Seeds," "Hikari no Mi," and "Hikari no Hanabata," which he creates with many people.

 

Live streaming will also be held during the exhibition!

The smile picture produced in the online workshop "Hikari no Mi Smile Atelier" is printed on the fruit bag with a UV printer. The fruit bag will be illuminated and exhibited at the trees of the Rokko Morinone Museum.

Daisuke Inaoka (Hammered Dulcimer)

One of Kansai's leading dull shimmer players who performs across genres such as Irish music, classical music, Japanese lyrical songs, and original songs.
Studied piano under Mr. Hisayo Horiuchi, a pianist belonging to the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra. The work was adopted as the theme song of "Human and Nature Fureai Festa 2000 in Nagano" and made his debut as a composer. He is conducting research and presentations on incorporating dulcimer into music therapy.

Sayumi Koga (piano & vocals)

musician. Born in Saga prefecture. After living in Tokyo → Oita, moved to Taketa City, Oita Prefecture in 2020.
A studio will be created at the foot of the Kuju mountain range, and the emotional fluctuations and bulges that come from nature, daily life, and encounters will be incorporated into the sound.
Based on the classical music that he has played for many years, the work is sung and delivered with a soft voice that wraps around the piano while incorporating improvisation. The song has received the support of various creators, and also works on commercial songs, videos, and stage music.

Yukika Kawahara / Kanako Kobayashi (Video and Music Art Unit)

Started activities in 2016 as CuBerry, an art unit for video and music.
Yukika Kawahara produces the video, and Kanako Kobayashi produces the music and sound. In addition to drawing, he will also perform live performances in various places as a riot girl band of four people. Filmmaking and music activities are linked, and they are working to find their own way of expression while influencing each other.

Based in Kansai, an acoustic project centered on gypsy jazz by Hiroshi Hata, a guitarist who plays various genres by using various guitars for live performances, recordings, radio and television appearances. CAP (Non-Profit Organization Art and Planning Conference) ・ ・ ・ ・ ・
Started in 1994 with 11 artists. Many art events are held in the former settlement area of Kobe. In 1999, "CAP HOUSE-190-day artistic experiment" was conducted in an abandoned building. This led to the establishment of the Kobe City Overseas Migration and Cultural Exchange Center. In addition, activities with overseas art groups are also active with the donations of citizens.
