河原雪花 / Setsuka KAWAHARA

1997年　大阪府生まれ、京都府在住
2021年　京都市立芸術大学大学院美術研究科構想設計修了

中東欧やロシアのアニメーションにおける技法・表現に影響を受けながら、切り絵を用いたアニメーションで〈共生〉をテーマに映画を制作している。
世界中の出来事が瞬時に拡散される時代だからこそ、おとぎ話の寓意的表現や詩的表現、物語のもつ想像力に重きを置いている。
また映像と音楽のアートユニットCuBerryのプロデュース・映像を担当し、各地でライブパフォーマンス、ミュージックビデオ制作も行う。

Influenced by the techniques and expressions of animation in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia, I have been making films on the theme of “symbiosis” through animation using paper cutouts. Because we live in an age where events from around the world are spread instantaneously, I place emphasis on the allegorical of fairy tales, poetic expressions and the imaginative power of stories. I am also in charge of the production and video of CuBerry, a video and music art unit, and gives live performances and makes music videos in various places.
